Hey, not a bad start. Among current filmmakers, I hope you get to see the work of Asghar Farhadi, whose new 'A Separation' has been in the news lately, as you're probably aware. I think his earlier films are also very good, and one of them, 'Fireworks Wednesday', happens to be available on DVD here in the U.S.
