Bette Davis

By: Ally the Manic Listmaker

My favorite actress. I think it’s her talent, her underrated beauty, her vicious vitality. No one came close to her accomplishments when it came to actors’ rights. To me, she is the best, hands down. I have scoured the library, eBay, cable/TCM, etc. to find as many of her films as possible. See my ranked list below.

Good list, Allison, and great pictures! She was one of a kind. The early thirties were a little weird, because they tried to make her look like all the other "girls," but once she was able to "become" Bette Davis, there was no stopping her. Do you know the story about her and Lillian Gish on the set of Whales of August?
