Thanks for the recognition! I would really recommend "The Hunter" as well as both "Tambourine, Drum" and "Tale in the Darkness" as far as moodpieces goes :)
Finally got to see Living, and it was another fantastic film. Definitely slow and bleak like Wolfy, and I see could see the same visual aesthetic, and approach. Really hope I can find subs for some of these other films in the future. So many interesting films from Russia in the past few years, and also interesting stylistically, aesthetically, as well as thematically.
Contemplating adding "Betrayal" (Измена) but haven't had the chance to see it yet. Anyone got anything nice to say about it?
Nice list; I've seen 3-4 of these and will try and see some of the others. Silent Souls is a very interesting mood-piece, and My Joy/Another Sky are also contemplative. Please could you recommend a few others which are a little similar, in the sense of being moodpieces/contemplative? Thanks

Someone uploaded Hunter on the site I use yesterday, and I was considering downloading it. I definitely will do now! Thanks for the other suggestions
I know very little about any of these films, 'Target' is the only one I have heard of. Is there any over-riding style for these films, minus them being new and Russian, or is it a list of modern Russian films you like?
It's mostly new films with bleak motives or style. I've seen most and they are exquisite. I highly recommend "Silent Souls".
