Not the film itself, but it isn't devious to interpret the Titanik Bar as hell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45py8pY_J1Q&feature=related. Tarr himself would probably claim that there are no symbols or allegories in his film, but then again it's almost impossible for an auteur to avoid these archetypical images which dominate our subconsciousness since early childhood and somehow establish themselves in all human creation.
