A remarkable list, I assume you are Lithuanian yourself? I'm finding it extremely difficult to find any of these films online - the exception of Forest of the Gods - do you have any suggestions on where to access them? English subtitled would be very, very preferable. Aciu

Somehow I've always thought that the main feature of Lithuanian cinema is unbearable slowness which is supposed to bring in depth and sense of what's important about human being, sth like substantial values. In spite of that, it gives the sense of fake or film just becomes boring. Now I can't really be sure if this idea is being constantly confirmed or is it me who can't get off it.

It's hard to get a hold of but there is" It Also Snows in Paradise" (1994). Venecijus's Life and Death of Cezar is wonderful. Really like the documentary work of Janina Lapisnkaite.
