Wow! Thank you, swell list!
Great list and additional information about Lithuanian cinema after 1990s. Thank You very much!
Wow impressive list. If anyone would be interested - we just started to distribute nr. 132 here - Porno Melodrama. Check it out! http://mubi.com/films/porno-melodrama
A remarkable list, I assume you are Lithuanian yourself? I'm finding it extremely difficult to find any of these films online - the exception of Forest of the Gods - do you have any suggestions on where to access them? English subtitled would be very, very preferable.
Aciu
like a kid in a candy store.
You've done a great job getting so many of these films in the Mubi database!
What work has gone into this!
holy cow, this has grown a lot :) i need to do my homework.
Mekas and Bartas... masterful auteurs!
Thank you for this list, I've been meaning to get into Lithuanian cinema for some time.
Somehow I've always thought that the main feature of Lithuanian cinema is unbearable slowness which is supposed to bring in depth and sense of what's important about human being, sth like substantial values. In spite of that, it gives the sense of fake or film just becomes boring. Now I can't really be sure if this idea is being constantly confirmed or is it me who can't get off it.
It's hard to get a hold of but there is" It Also Snows in Paradise" (1994). Venecijus's Life and Death of Cezar is wonderful. Really like the documentary work of Janina Lapisnkaite.
This list will make my venture into the Baltic States all the better. Thanks for this!
Wow, how do you know so much about Lithuanian film? This is quite a resource. Thanks!
