I like Tulpan, not seen Schizo, Kazakh culture isn't very well known though it's a big country. I do have a music album, Akku, by Raushan Orazbaeva, would like to explore more

Nice that you mentioned Prisoner of the Mountains as well! Unfortunately, the pages for both Sergei Bodrov and Sergei Bodrov Jr. here aren't separated yet. I've also seen "Schizo" from Kazakhstan, directed by Guka Omarova and co-produced by Bodrov senior. It's fairly standard drama, but I liked watching it, and along with Tulpan it shows that Kazakhstan has great cinematic potential.

I like the idea to find myself in a warmed house of a cold building and watch one Russian movie with a Russian friend, the friend the dearest, the movie otherwise sunk into oblivion thanks for the tips

It's awkward cos i've altready done an Eastern European list, and the new possible title would have people thinking of countries like Czech republic , Hungary, Bulgaria etc. It could be Russia and Central Asia, but that doesn't count the Baltic States.
