I´m German and I think you did a really good Job. "Himmel über Berlin" from Wim Wenders is also quite important. "Der Untergang" a film about the last days of Hitlers Life, a movie nearly everybody over here has seen. Then there´s Andreas Dresen, who does hyper-realistic movies about the day-to-day life of ordinary citizens like "halbe Treppe","Sommer vorm Balkon" or "Wolke 9". He got a lot of praise and is part of a German New Wave in Cinema, which took place in the 2000´s.

    I'm glad you like the list- i was worried i somehow missed out Himmel uber Berlin and Der Untergang, as they are among the most famous German films, but in fact they are listed. I will look into what best to include by Dresen, thanks
