EXCERCISES IN DIALECTICS
By: javier quintero
Instruments for long-winded disputations, lifetime distinctions/oppositions, and bifurcated roads of minds.
When language generates transformation, transformation becomes structure.. structures defy shape… and shapes become language.
Can dialectics break bricks? (1973)
The idea for this list came directly from watching Can dialectics break bricks? (La Dialectique Peut-Elle Casser Des Briques? 1973- René Viénet, France). It’s apparently the first film détourned in history, as an appropriation of the Kung-fu film Crush (Tang shou tai quan dao, 1972) from Doo Kwang Gee AKA Kuan-chi Tu. René Viénet was part of the Situationist International group. I put it here for your consideration. You can see the whole film here
