Favorite Films Noir

Trying to make a running list of the noirs that I have seen. Probably not exhaustive, but I am trying my best. Below are some noirs, many of them excellent, that are not listed on MUBI.

It should also be noted that I have taken a somewhat liberal stance on what is and is not “noir.” I follow the Potter Stewart approach: I know it when I see it. No need to quibble, as most often the distinction is quite arbitrary. So many films of the era had noirish elements, the classification is often pointless. Still, it’s fun for me to make such lists.
