Favorite spanish-speaking movies

Spanish-speaking movies have gotten so much better in the last forty years. In the case of Spain, we had such a terrible gap in Franco’s era it was ridiculous. Before with Luis Buñuel and Trueba, now with Julio Médem, Pedro Almodóvar, Alejandro Amenábar, Jaume Balagueró, Isabel Coixet, Trueba, Gabilondo, Garci, etc., it becomes a very interesting genre. Latin American films have gotten so much better as well. With this Argentinan-Mexican-Cuban new filmmaking movement they caught a lot of people’s eyes, while it seemed before that they were almost invisible. Ah! Please feel free to recommend me all the movies you think should be on the list and I haven’t listed. I’ll be eager to see them!
