For one, I'd like to point out that Jackie Brown has fallen from your list. I agree with you now sir. haha But I was brought back here mainly because of one thing I must say. God damn do I love Michael Clayton! I'm still surprised with the amount of unfading admiration I have for that film.
Hell yes, Max, hell yes. He's my second or third favorite director! :D Savvy
Interesting list. Very mainstream, but with a few genuine art-house masterpieces thrown in.
Dim, but Synecdoche IS my number one! :O And Landscape in the Mist IS damn great (especially tonally), but I really think I need to see it again before I make absolutely final judgment. I'd like to watch it NOT on youtube. :( Savvy
yeah, you really need to remove Synecdoche and add Landscape in the Mist ;)
Yes, Drew! All I can say is thanks for that recommendation, because it's one hell of a film. I've seen it three times, so far, and I wouldn't doubt that I'll esee it a dozen more (and probably more than that). Savvy
Well, I like Death Proof... I still don't see Jackie Brown in the way in which you describe, which is fine. I mean, I love Pulp Fiction, as well, because it's freaking brilliant, but Jackie Brown has more panache for me, I guess. Savvy
CJ, Jackie Brown, to me, is Tarantino's best film. I love it. I mean, frankly, I love most of his work, but this one stands above the rest. And, yes, please give Lost in Translation another viewing. That film, for me, at least, is too perfect to pass up. Such a beautiful look at life. So truthful. Savvy
You have some interesting and almost intimidatingly good taste. I approve! Lol
Filmy, OH MY FREAKING GOSH!! I must put Rohmer on there RIGHT FREAKING NOW! Savvy
