I study in a film school in Marrakech (Morocco) and I wanted to make that list to include very various types of “moroccan films” :
- films directed by moroccan directors in Morocco
- films directed by moroccan directors in other countries
- films directed by foreign directors in Morocco, which talk about Morocco
- films directed by foreign directors in Morocco, which talk about other countries
The moroccan cinema is not very well known and few people know that a lot of films are shot in this country.

I'm now in Rabat, I have been in Casablanca and Tangiers and I currently live in Marrakech and I must say that Morocco is a very magnificient country. The light here is amazing and I understand why so much directors want to shoot their films here.

Ah, wonderful Marrakesh and the majestic Atlas mountains. Morocco has been an ideal location for many films, as it's close to certain European countries and offers landscapes and "exotic" way of life that pass for others.
