Films I Want on DVD but can't Flippin' Find....

By: Uli Cain, Cinefidel¹³

… especially for a decent price.

And I mean good quality DVDs, not something thrown together with a VHS tape, a crappy VCR and a computer; something with a new transfer, a Director’s Commentary and solid Special Features.

So, here we go… (and I still have my VHSs of these, so I could do a bootleg (done the horribly aforementioned way) and do my own commentary, which would fun (hmmmm, get my friend and his kids and do a commentary track for Anchorman where we do all the lines, hmmmmm, some DVD maker should think about that)).

Okay, found Chinese Box at FoodMaxx for $3.99
Ordered Q&A through bestbuy.com for $8.99
Found Enemy Mine at Record/Movie for $6.99
Ordered Last Exit to Brooklyn and Northfork through outside sellers on Amazon, for $12.19 and $14.75.
Ordered Medium Cool through outside vendor on Amazon for $66.97
Ordered The Rain People through Amazon for $17.99, the Warner Bros. Archive Collection release.
Ordered The Unbelievable Truth through Amazon

Well done. Last Exit to Brooklyn and The Unbelieveable Truth have been really vexing for me. I'd add to that My Twentieth Century.

Salem, I saw that was available, the doc on Selby would be sweet.

A region free DVD player might be a good investment. The region 2 - 2 disc edition of Last Exit to Brooklyn is extremely sweet (features a making off, directors commentary, a feature length documentary on Hubert Selby Jr., deleted scenes and other goodies)
