List is pretty decent overall, but totally disagree with more than a few. "Hesher" was a gritty, original idea taken with a superb direction, "Rubber" was absurd, a little full of itself, but not bottom of the barrel bad, and "Hobo With a Shotgun" was exploitation greatness. Still, glad to see "Beginners" and "Take Shelter" up there. Two underrated films with fantastic, overlooked performances.

Thanks for checking out my list! I think we'll have to agree to disagree on some of those. I found Hesher to be silly, predictable, and visually uninspired. Felt like a typical wannabe hip indie pic. Rubber would have been a good short, but at feature length, it's one long tedious meta-joke that fails to generate any humor or excitement. As for Hobo... the faux exploitation fad is played out, and this is a case in point. Eisener can't find the right balance of shock and camp, thus failing at both; plus he drops the appropriate aesthetic in favor of ugly filters after the first reel or two. The film is creatively bankrupt.

No problem, man. You still have some great films close to the top of your list. I didn't find "Rubber" to be that long, though. I just found it to be a bit too self-absorbed. I'll be watching "The Myth of the American Sleepover" tomorrow, though, so thanks for lowering my expectations ;).
