Films That Can't Be Disliked

There is no legitimate point of view from which these movies can be completely disliked.

None. Whatsoever.

That doesn’t mean they’re the greatest ever or anything at all like that, though certainly some of them are. And you don’t completely have to love them, or everything about them, either.

It’s just that these particular movies are made with such apparent craft and attention-to-detail, and have such quality storytelling aspects, that their appeal can not be denied.

You are, however, free to display for all how truly awful your taste is through your disapproval of any of these movies.

I have to add, though, that this is a TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE EXERCISE. COMPLETELY. It’s also fairly tongue-in-cheek, and one way I figure that I can grope for responses.

But that won’t make you any less wrong if you dislike these movies.

While I am not a Wall-E fan, I have to say that this is a pretty incredible list. Love the bold choices... BUBBA HO-TEP is an instant classic in my book. :) You make some great lists.

There are a few of these I don't like (respectfully ;-)): I found The Apartment to be achingly bland despite good (sorry - great) acting and writing (should I watch it again?). The Star Wars films are lowbrow fun, but I've always found a mind-numbing lack of inteligence or directorial discipline in them. The others that I've seen I agree with you almost whole-heartedly. ;-)
