Hi Chasing, I should add Chris Marker and Melies. I am not fond of Vigo or Tati and I am not that familiar with Rouch. I should get on that.

Hey Ally, no Jean Vigo, Jean Rouch, no Jacques Tati and no Chris Marker in a French cinema primer?!! And, no Melies!!! :( And how did Kieslowski and Bunuel make the list? If you are including francophone films, then there is a whole world to take into account I guess, including Otar Iosseliani's French phase.
