If you're looking for some utterly inhuman performances, I believe that at least one Bergman film (e.g. Cries an Whispers) should be included... but I'm not really sure if it fits the criteria for your selection.
Hi Robert, I was thinking more of Jean Reno's performance in Leon: The Professional. He was amazing in that! I'll include a chart of performances when I'm finished with this list.
Natalie Portman in _The Professional_ made that film. How about Nicole Kidman in _Dogville_ and two of the greatest performances Charlize Theron in _Monster_ (2003) & Patty Duke in _The Miracle Worker_ Btw, I have to say how very much your pic looks like Irène Jacob in Kieslowski’s _Red_…. lol
I'm not done with the list yet you guys, but thank you for the comments so far. Jazzy I wanted to turn off The Piano Teacher, yet Huppert's performance was so astounding. I think Story of Women was the third Huppert film I saw. I was also mesmerized by it. Lorna, there is a great Jonathan Rosenbaum review on The Silent of the Lambs that you can read on his site. Basically he agrees that the film is not that great. However, it's a personal favorite! :)
'The Silence Of The Lambs' is the only film on this list that i have a problem with.Yes,Anthony Hopkins was brilliant, but its not about the actors.I just think it is one of the most overrated films ever. I actually found some parts unintentionally funny.Maybe i should give it a second chance.
