Nice idea for a list. Here's another (http://mubi.com/films/iousa). Could be my faulty memory but remind me - how were Moneyball and Burn After Reading 'inspired' by the GFC?

    Thanks DT! I actually don't remember why I included them to be honest. I think Burn After reading featured Clooney's character getting fired which sets off a chain of events. I interpreted that liberally as a commentary on the recession. I can't remember why I inculded Moneyball at all. Maybe I personally thought that valrozing the whole 'sabermetric' approach and its reliance on OBP in some way mirrored risk managers using very reductive risk models that precipitated the financial crisis. It's not really a fully formed thought and I'll probably take Moneyball off at some point.

    Fine. One sure addition to the list though has to be Margin Call - now Oscar-certified.
