Does anyone know the name of the film during Chapter 1(b): Une Histoire seule where the man is laying on the ground looking up the woman's skirt? here is a screenshot: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r269/dontslatahate/Screenshot2010-04-23at122109PM.png?t=1272052050
man, i can't believe this list has so many fans!!!! :O it really is all about God-heads on this site, no? (and Western "culture")
great! what we're lacking at the auteurs now is a detailed list of every film cited in each histoire(s)'s chapter... that is a respectable amount of job... by the way, the introduction to a truthful history of cinema is a great book, a little bit confusing because it was a transcription as you all ready wrote. the dialogue with ishaghpour is the greatest reading i've done till now. still there's a huge bibliography to attend, let's say for example the 3 articles that jean-louis leutrat have published (retour sur histoire(s)) in the same trafic magazine where first appeared the ishaghpour interview split in 2 numbers (29-30). or what to say about "histoires du cinéma" written by alexander kluge and published in trafic 50? godard all ready published "à propos de cinéma et d'histoire" (18, may 1996).
and that's why i'm afraid to watch the whole Godard project.... in other words, the film line-ups above....oh Jean-Luc,you charming Europamerican socialist :P
@Kurt: Yes I have, very interesting read indeed! I should add it to the above listing. @Kenji: Yep, you're right. Let's bring him in! ;)
Grey, have you read Youssef Ishaghpour's published interview with Godard? It pertains solely to Histoire, it's conception and execution. Fantastic and insightful read.
This is perfect. Thanks. I need to find out where I can get a copy of these! Savvy
