great! what we're lacking at the auteurs now is a detailed list of every film cited in each histoire(s)'s chapter... that is a respectable amount of job... by the way, the introduction to a truthful history of cinema is a great book, a little bit confusing because it was a transcription as you all ready wrote. the dialogue with ishaghpour is the greatest reading i've done till now. still there's a huge bibliography to attend, let's say for example the 3 articles that jean-louis leutrat have published (retour sur histoire(s)) in the same trafic magazine where first appeared the ishaghpour interview split in 2 numbers (29-30). or what to say about "histoires du cinéma" written by alexander kluge and published in trafic 50? godard all ready published "à propos de cinéma et d'histoire" (18, may 1996).

Grey, have you read Youssef Ishaghpour's published interview with Godard? It pertains solely to Histoire, it's conception and execution. Fantastic and insightful read.

very interesting of course, but for an admirer of Mizoguchi there's a surprising shortage of Japanese films, and hardly any interest in many areas of the world. we should get him over here for the world cup.

Grey D, I just said to Marc on one of his lists that he makes the best lists on here, but I have you put you right up there with him, for instance this list is both informational and fun to read up. I will be completing my first viewing of Godard’s Historie(s) soon.
