Ah yes, the fashion parade! Camille Claudel: are they incieental or quite important? Anyway, another lover and model of Rodin, the Wwlsh painter Gwen John, spent a lot of time with nuns.
That lovely still from Judex puts me in mind of the fashion parade in Roma. There are plenty of nuns in Dumont's new film about Camille Claudel.
I'm not sure it applies, but Penelope Cruz played a nun (Hermana Rosa) in Pedro Almodóvar's ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER ...http://mubi.com/films/all-about-my-mother--- true she didn't wear her habit, and she was pregnant, fighting HIV while carrying a transvestite's baby, but to err is human . . . to forgive is . . . Almodóvar.
here's Anna (http://mubi.com/films/25858) I doubt there is a nun more beautiful than Sylvana Mangano, and she sings too (even better than Whoopi Goldberg)
on a lighter note... CHANGE OF HABIT ('69) - William A.Graham... THE SINGING NUN ('66) - Henry Costner... but, SOEUR SOURIRE, a new film starring the Belgian actress Cécile de France that purports to tell the true story of the sixties religious pop sensation who left the convent and eventually committed suicide.
"Marketa Lazarová" also has some nuns in it, as well as the protagonist applying to become one.
Haha, I remember Sister Wendy and her art programs. She chose right the profession. :P
in case Sister Act wouldn't come up to the list so I would like to do some suggestions: The Nun of Monza (Eriprando Visconti), The Devils, Crazy Lips, Anna (Alberto Lattuada)...other titles coming soon
