Apologies for the delayed reply. Full Metal Jacket, The Killing, Spartacus = 4 stars. Killer's Kiss, Day of the Fight = 3.5 stars. Fear and Desire = 3 stars. Flying Padre = 2.5 stars.

Also, I'm still dreaming of the day that MUBI allows us to rate films on a half star scale. MANY other media sites on the internet allow it, so I don't see what the problem is (unless it's something aesthetic or political, which is unfortunate either way). A half star makes a world of difference IMO.

The top 8 are all 5-star films in my opinion. In particular, the top 5 are extremely close in ranking and could all easily be number 1 on this list. Oh Stanley, why'd you have to be so great?
