MAKE THE TIME!!

For those of us raised on Hollywood’s 85- to 100-minute standard run times, seeing that a movie is 150 minutes (or more) can be daunting. I have often asked myself “Do I have three hours to carve out so that i can watch this film?” but am glad to say that I have made the time to sit down with these films. Whether it takes you one sitting or 3-4 to complete the films on this list, I can assure you that your appreciation for individual films as singular artistic works will be greater having watched any of them.

Note that some of these titles were originally presented as television series (Berlin Alexanderplatz, Scenes From A Marriage) and will obviously need to be broken up a bit if you are ever going to make it through them.
