Marie Trintignant is a tragic actress I have admired for years. Her parents were Nadine and Jean-Louis Trintignant. Her step-father was Alain Corneau, who gave her the first major role in her career in 1979 (Série noire). Unfortunately, she was murdered by her boyfriend, Bertrand Cantet, in 2003.
Here are her films, ranked by me.
Serie Noire (1979)
Une affaire de femmes /Story of Women (1988)
Les apprentis/The Apprentices (1995)
Janis et John (2003)
Cible émouvante/Wild Target (1993)
Promenons-nous dans les bois/Deep in the Woods (2000)
L’été prochain (1985) not in database
Portraits chinois/Shadow Play (1996)
Comme elle respire/White Lies (1998)
Harrison’s Flowers (2000)
Note: Marie Trintignant also did a voice-over for the film The Lovers on the Bridge (1991).
