Masters of Cinema Series

I still have to watch most of these and I am a little bit iffy about some of the selections but, overall, I think this could even surpass the greatness of Criterion Collection. And I still have to watch most of the films here. Hopefully, they’ll have more selections and choose other directors in the future. Too bad, the Masters of Cinema Series is not easily accessible where I live, unlike Criterion.

And the best selection they have is Hausu!

Masters of Cinema are great- they did an excellent job with the Mizoguchi doubles. Shouldn't A Geisha and Yang Kwei Fei be added?

'The Silence' isn't the Bergman film but is actually about Christians in Japan, directed by Masahiro Shinoda. It's a pretty good film.
