I don't really see melancholy and depression in Mouchette, I see despair more.Maybe it does lead to melancholy, but I think Bresson draw the portrait of a girl too naive to know what's going on with her, and you can see the smile on her face during the whole film. But I love the rest of your list, especially the fact that you added "Taste of Cherry" and "In a Year with 13 Moons".
