This reminds me to go through and update my lists. Need to fancy them up. I'd say Amour would go in at #3 just behind The Piano Teacher and White Ribbon. Are you a fan of Haneke?

I haven't seen any of his films, but hopefully Amour will come on sky box office soon. I was thinking of maybe buying a Haneke collection for £50 which includes all of his films, although it may be a risk. I particularly want to see The Piano Teacher.

Yeah I've been considering getting that set. Amour is excellent and would be a great intro to his work. I have no idea how many times I've seen The Piano Teacher. It's very powerful. I remember the first day I got my hands on it I think I watched it 4 times. I'm in love with Huppert.

Check out the piece I did on Haneke for Cinema 21 on this site a couple of years ago. http://mubi.com/topics/cinema21-michael-haneke

Looks good. I'll check it out more thoroughly when I'm not online through my phone. I'm trying to make this one a bit nicer with pics and some of my thoughts on the films but I'm easily distracted. I may do so when I go back and revisit some with my gf since she hasn't seen all of them. She's really into him too.

Michael Hanek is one of my favorite filmmakers too, 'cause his films are a blend of strong story, beautiful images and true art. He is very similar to Bergman in these things... You have to see "The White Ribbon", that is the best

I actually have gotten to see White Ribbon since I've made this list. I just haven't updated it as I have most of my lists. I do see it as, essentially, a perfect film. I still have a hard time on deciding between it and The Piano Teacher as my favorite.
