I will admit though that, while it does take away from the great cinematography, the colourised version of Invasions of the Body Snatchers actually adds a sinister edge to the film by making everyone, pod person or otherwise, look like they're made out of plastic. Considering the film is about the dangers of conformity in the 1950s, Ted Turner and his crayons added something artistic to it by accident.

The midnight movies episode on films like Eraserhead was great. I've actually seen an old British VHS with the colourised version of Night of the Living Dead recently, but sadly I didn't buy it. If it was anything like the colourisation of Don Siegel's Invasions of the Body Snatchers it would be an interesting viewing experience.

    Thanks! Yeah I think a colorized print of NotLD would be a nice novelty for a one-off, but nothing more!
