I'm Spanish, Ehsan. "50 ans" is a book (actually two books) about American cinema from 40s to 80s and analysis of filmmakers and screenwriters. I think it includes essays on the studios too (I don't have the book, just read it, at least the Spanish version is very expensive). Don't know about English translated version. I love Tavernier-critic, his blog (in French): http://www.tavernier.blog.sacd.fr/

I've seen it and they are right. It's been added now. As matter of fact Allied Artists has many great film noir that must be cover. Tell me Angel, is "50 ans de cinéma américain" a documentary, or a book? is it available in English? and one more question -and a rather personal one - are you from France?

Cry Vengeance (1954, Mark Stevens). Not seen but Tavernier/Coursodon say good things about it in "50 ans de cinéma américain".
