Oh no! You can't dislike Angels In America. I understand the first time round, it can be grueling and truly good film shouldn't be, but I read the play (both parts) and some interviews with Tony Kushner and it is a strikingly intelligent piece (or in this case, pieces). Have you given it another go? It's so much grander the second time, and you must admit that there are some incredible scenes: one of my favorites is the "fight scene" between Ben Shenkman and Patrick Wilson's characters. The whole thing is greatly smart, centered, and almost too well-acted.
