These are not all the Musical movies I`ve seen or i know, these`re the films i call them “Classic Hollywood Musicals”. the genre which Rick Altman (film genre scholar) has divided to four sub-genres: back stage musical (Footlight parade), fairy tale musical (wizard of oz), domestic musical (seven brides for seven brothers) and a mixture of fairy tale and domestic (brigadoon)..
