My Childhood Experience

By: syimi, une femme!

My love for films came from my father’s forceful nature of making us watch films we don’t want to see with him. Saturday nights are filled with my father, mother, older brother and sister sitting in front of our old (very old and frail looking) television that you have to prick open the sliding wooden door. These are films I remember well enough to still have some kind of nostalgic attachment to…

P/S: Also involves some films I saw/loved during my early teenage years.. :)

that's still nice: father-daughter bonding no? you'll look back and said 'it sucked but at least he kept me near him'. with mine is just the opposite.

I know, I guess I do look back at those times as good times? But I guess we all have issues with Dads. Only in my case it somehow resolved itself now that we are all older :)

you seem to. it's great you had that. annoying or not parent-child bonding is always welcome. i guess in my case i suffer from not having that. i did bond with my mom and watched films but those i did wanted to. so in my case it was not annoying in fact i wanted to watch more but she was pretty austere. too bad. i guess so, i know i have. not sure mine are done with, now that 'i'm older'. still nice list.
