Good to see Barbara Stanwyck getting her due: she was the greatest actress in Hollywood and she was never awarded a single competitive Oscar. But where is Margaret Sullavan ("The Shop Around the Corner" - 1940)?

I love Margaret Sullavan! I really do, but I think Hepburn was greater in '35 and '38 (when Sullavan did amasing work in The Good Fairy and Three Comrades) and Rosalind had to get it in '40 for His Girl Friday (actually '40 is a reall hard year in general, with Bette Davis in The Letter, Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story, Joan Fontaine in Rebecca and of course Sullavan. They were all at their best and in different years might have all gotten named best).

Great choices, but couldn't McAvoy share her award with Irene Rich?
