Apart from this list being really great, I especially enjoy seeing Bergman's Shame in the top 10. It really is an amazing powerful movie that is maybe too ofter neglect. I only saw it once a couple of years ago even if I own the dvd. The images are so powerful that they're still stuck in my head today.

    Yeah, I don't know why Shame is so underrated, is one of my favorites, I remember that before seeing the movie I thought it was a minor work, and end up being one of my favorite Bergman's films.

Sunrise, Sans Soleil, The Mirror, Stalker, La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc, City Lights, La Notte, La Jetée, The Cranes are Flying, Tokyo Story, Blow-Up, A Man Escaped.... Damn, that's a beautiful list. And I must see the Kiarostami on your list. One of my favorite contemporary director.

    Your list is definitely awesome, great taste obviously. My favorite of Kiarostami are Taste of Cherry, Close-Up and Copie Conforme. Ten is a great exercice too. But I have to watch his early work, starting with the those of your list.
