it's called 8 1/2 not 'otto e mezzo' because, believe or not, they actually have the same numbers as we do in italy, it's not called 'eight and a half' in english speaking countries and it's not 'otto e mezzo' in italy. sorry that really annoyed me, other than that great list, well done!
Love the list, even though I don't agree with your number one choice. That's why its your list. Great work.
great list dude but missing 2 great movies
1.IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE
heven't see your list for a long time, and now The Fountain is at number 1 ! Kudos for you, man
You're so right about the first half of Vertigo being a mystery, but one of the greatest things about the film is that it reveals the "twist" early on in the film, which allows for the remainder to become a complex psychological analysis, effectively subverting the typical "everyman" thriller.
Great list, Beneezy.
Nice List, couldn't agree more with your number one, I also think that the fountain is a powerful achievement, although it is not my number one the experience was certainly unforgettable.
wow, nicer than some real-life festivals. :)
Well done. Nice presentation and well thought out comments.
nice denomination, hehehe. "a personal canon" is also great, you've convinced me about watching La Moustache ;)
Great list and well done, cool to see someone who loves The Fountain that much.
Really masterful presentation and well done in having your thoughts with each.
i admire the subjectivity of the project....but the title is a bit distracting :S
Nice to see The Fountain way up there.
Not bad, and nice layout. Maybe a little too heavy on contemporary films. Lots of Italians. But you should go back and proofread some of those blurbs.
Obviously I disagree with half the list. But what I do commend you on is that I think these are all important films. Also, fantastic organization.
I personally dislike My Blueberry Nights, but still a great list. Love The Fountain mention.
how does one do this layout?
Some i don't agree with, primarily My Blueberry Nights being Wong Kar-Wai's best film
Very nice to see The Fountain get a mention.
great article, as well as great list of course. couldn't be much more happier with THE FOUNTAIN on number 3 ! i thought i was the only one who loves that movie so much
Fine presentation. I've not yet seen the latest Scorsese that's just disappeared from your list, have heard mixed things.
