By: Ally the Manic Listmaker

These are my favorite films from the twenties, a gay old time in history. I have seen 268 from this decade(as of August 15, 2011).

Important dates that defined the twenties:
May 21, 1927 – Charles Lindbergh is the first pilot to fly solo over the Atlantic Ocean
October 6, 1927 – The Jazz Singer premiere: the world’s first “talkie”
October 24, 1929 – Stock market crash

Films that are not in the database:
-The Sting of Stings (1927)
-The Dumb-Bell (1922)
-All Jazzed Up (1920)
-The Fraidy Cat (1924)
-Dog Heaven (1927)

Other films I like from the twenties:
Convict 13 (1920)
Don Juan (1926)
Get Your Man (1927)
Spite Marriage (1929)
Ella Cinders (1926)
Filmstudie (1926)
The Letter (1929)

This is a fine list, Allison. Considering your predelictions, I would recommend more Lubitsch and, of course, more Borzage.

Jon thanks for your comment. Yes, to me, "obvious" is boring.

Yeah, Jackie Coogan is adorable in it. Have not yet seen The Circus, but an awesome list nonetheless!
