Where's Trois Coleurs: Bleu??
Wow what a really great list. Lots of my favorites
i finally looked at this poll: quite a mediocre final list.
Decent list. How nice to see There Will Be Blood almost where it deserves to be.
Spielberg and Lynch well represented.
Is it possible to see the full list, down to those films that may only have picked up one or two votes? I'm sure there are great discoveries to be made beyond the top fifty.
Thanks for all the effort to compile.
The poll is closed and the list is now updated with the final results.
Ah ok. Thanks for all the hard work thus far. :)
Have to partly agree with you, Axelumog. I was asked by The Auteurs to do it in this manner.
HAX....last minute voters all saw this list and voted strategically to push certain films that weren't getting love.... probably shouldn't have posted this until you did the final tally, for ultimate fairness. =/
As it says above, this list is not necessarily 100% accurate as I finalize the results. Also, this list will of course not include every film voted for, as many of the films voted for received an insignificant amount of votes. It will be narrowed down to a top 50.
Sorry... I think I made the right decision not to read that thread when it was hot. :-\
Adam, Unknown Pleasures (Jia Zhangke) appears to be missing from the list.
Well, I already expressed my thoughts on "Dogville" and its celebration of the Hammurabi Code on the "LvT-Filmmaker of the Decade" thread. But I nevertheless think that "Breaking the Waves" and "Medea" were great achievements.
Dogvlle better not be included in your "pseudo-masterpieces" or else... you know...
And I'm especially glad that those pseudo-masterpieces got kicked out of the Top 10 to make room for some true achievements like "Syndromes and a Century" and "Werckmeister Harmonies". Luckily many knowledgeable people on this site waited until the last days to enter their submission.
Glad that although 110 voters had the chance to wreck this poll with largely populist picks, we still have a pretty and well-deserved top 10. :)
Damn! I guess its time to torture Patricia Clarkson...
Haha, I'm with you Marc. Still a few lists to tally though.
Yeah, it seems that "Syndromes and the Century" made it. I don't lament that Gondry's film got kicked out. ;)
If Dogville gets kicked out I'll shoot the children first and make the mother watch. I'll tell her I'll stop if she can hold back her tears.
Oh darn... well fingers crossed!
Right now, Syndromes is 2 votes out. White Ribbon is 3 votes out.
I'm crossing my fingers that The White Ribbon and Syndromes and a Century get the one more vote they need!
They do only need one more vote, correct?
Just a couple of lists away from having some interesting results.
THE NEW WORLD overtakes children of men! LEGIT
and Transformers is in ! quite surprising
oh DARN LiT dropped down to 12 Q_Q
Thanks, Kenji! There's still time to go before this list is final though.
