ah what a relief- i'd dreaded redoing the whole list
Yo Kenji, the order is restored! If you made any changes to the list recently you might want to make sure they are intact. Sorry for the glitch.
Yes, that's what i thought, and the managers did a great job with selections. So many exciting discoveries. I have the impression some film schools don't really know their stuff.
Just about the best world cinema primer seen anywhere. I believe it would put most film schools to shame.
This is an excellent list!
Well done, great list with a ton of diversity. I'm glad I don't see some of the more well known director's entire filmographies just thrown up on there.
What an amazing list of films that was. Completely opened my eyes to so many great directors.
Pirosmani has now been added.
Thanks Myra- i'll add more when i can
Hey kenji, just to let you know that a whole bunch of AWC films have been added recently: Un Soir, un Train, Rikidozan, Vigil, Goryeojang, Merry Go Round, Reconstruction, Largo Viaje, The Promised Land, Machuca, The French Lieutenant's Wife, The Wishing Tree, The Colour of Paradise, The Commissar, Nine Days of One Year, Scenes of City Life, Two Stage Sisters and Actress. :)
Such excellent work, Kenji. Thank you. By the way, Insiang has been added now.
we still have some missing titles, let's hope the Auteurs team will add them before the year ends!!!
Thanks! I would have done it, but I don't have the patience to do something of this caliber.
Oh, here's another one kenji: "Night's End/Nishaant":http://www.theauteurs.com/films/20861
thanks, i'll add them, for some reason they didn't come up first time
Yay, great! Thanks for this list.
I knows you're still working on this kenji, but "Oasis":http://www.theauteurs.com/films/9311 and "The Most Distant Course":http://www.theauteurs.com/films/20872 are in the database.
i think it's best to have it in match order, to give a better idea (and a reminder) of what happened, who played who (though at present the S.Korea films v France are missing). Anyway, it'll take quite a bit of time now rearranging alphabetically
Kenji, would it be a better idea to sort them alphabetically?
