Thank you x 1,000,000 for Captain Blood and Where the Boys Are. I love both. Obviously for different reasons... :)
wow great list..you've been busy...I need a little encouragement to make a list of the Director Profiles I've contributed to the site (over 70)..like you said up there, maybe I should step up too...but it's a bit like patting oneself on the back, isn't it?...then again it is a good way to keep track of submissions I guess. Convince me :)
Great list, Greg. I am particularly pleased to see Dreamchild, a longtime favorite of mine. Amelia Shankley was one of the finest child actors of her time; though she didn't quite look like the frequently photographed Alice, she surely captured what I believe that child must have been like. The fly in the ointment, of course, is the grossly caricatured American accent of Peter Gallagher. After years of considering this the worst portrayal of an American by an Englishman, l recently learned that he was born and bred in the US! Was this accent a decision of Millar or Potter? At any rate, Dreamchild is one of the most underrated, or unrated, films. Thanks to you and Kenji for being fellow fans. Bob
Are we experiencing folie à deux?? Cuz i saw your 5 star rating of it a while back...weird...
Lady in a Cage...is it on here? Am I super retarded or something...cuz I don't see it... I swear I saw it in the database at one point, but can't seem to locate it now :/
what is going on? how come you people have more time than i have? :P at least i reached 100, hahaha.
Thank you for The Raven and The Tomb of Ligeia. We need more Corman on here. Really want to see Romance.
Thanks so much for all your submissions Greg. I didn't realize you already submitted Crows and Sparrows and The Record of a Tenement Gentleman... I hope they don't get duplicated now because I later submitted them as well. I really need to be more thorough with my searches before submitting films! :(
Thanks for the kind words! I gotta say that my favorite part of submitting films is seeing the different opinions of everyone I follow regarding each of them. Sometimes it easy to figure out why some people don't like a particular film, like say Rocky IV, and other times it's more of a head scratcher that makes me wonder if I'm too easily amused. It's particularly interesting to see the films with wide spread difference of opinion between everyone and those few films where everyone seems to be in agreement. I know not all of these movies will appeal to everyone, so they aren't as much recommendations of greatness as they are movies that I find interesting, and since my taste is, um, odd, watchers beware!
Thanks for ALL your great submissions Greg! An amazing fine selection of films indeed :)
haha, dude, you and Grey and Somna have the most ;) only Joe Bowman can reach all of you. you just wait when i reach myself 200 :P
