Ben Affleck may have gained back a good deal of respect as an Auteur with the success of Gone Baby Gone and anticipation of The Town. I hear people are even relenting that Good Will Hunting was a 50/50 effort. Anyway, here’s five roles that prove his mettle as an actor. And sure, it’s mostly comedy, but that was the man’s wheelhouse in the simpler and more enjoyable pre-Paycheck/Gigli/Reindeer Games/Phantoms days.
