Funny how a person's "best films list" ultimately says a lot about who they are as people. I don't mean that in a good or bad way, of course. I would have put "Jacob's Ladder" in my top 25, easily. Maybe top 50. But no Jarmusch? Nicholas Ray? You really liked Kill Bill and Zodiac more than Annie Hall, City of God, and Heat? Interesting. I need to make my own 'work in progress'. Nice list though! Good taste, despite my dumb neurotic BS above.
Excellent that Once Upon a Time America is up at #6 - very overlooked film.
little work in progress going here obviously... but i'll go ahead and say i'm not a huge Godfather fan... glad to see Taxi Driver so high and 2001. Raging Bull is also quite good. I'm gonna have to see The White Ribbon soon.
