Woman on Top - Women Who Win in Horror Films

Horror films can be violent, malevolent and senseless, or they can be a mirror to the ills of society. Some films, however, are the worst perpetrators of violence against women and use women as mindless victims who are nothing more than a warm body that is a disturbing agency between sex and violence.
These are films where the women come out on top and are smart, intelligent, brave and buck the typecasting of the dizzy female victim. Some of these women are anti-heroines and others are just plain awesome.
