    Ahh, nothing like venetian blinds in a classic film noir. The only things better are billowing curtains.

    Hi! May I ask why this image is “for Raul Ruiz”? Of course I mourn his passing, but is there any special connection between Ruiz and this image?

    No particular reason, Christopher; it just felt right. I had the image laying around for a while, and its melancholy, expressionism, and oneric seclusion all struck me as strands connected to the cinema of Ruiz.
