    A friend pointed out much this sequence clearly influenced Fassbinder, and I think this still definitely has that suggestion.

    There’s nothing mangled about this masterpiece, in my opinion. Great still.

    Otie, the film was notoriously butchered by the studio in the editing room. I do agree, however, that what remains is amazing.
