The concept of art is evolving but what is the contemporary approach to art? It seems to be the pursuit of new perspectives and visions, seeing ordinary things in ways they have never been seen before and giving such visions a voice, revealing the cultural/aesthetic blind spots. One way to do this is through installation art, which is subsequently uninstalled. What remains of such art are artistic photographs. An 80-minute long exploration of what art means to a contemporary artist such as Gabriel Orozco brings the audience face to face with the different manifestations of contemporary art in a way that cannot be anything but educational and eye-opening. Whether one can agree with G. Orozco on the attitudes of illustrious English intellectual giants of the past in regards to art may be a long jump but it could be a stimulating trigger for thinking about what art was during the course of history, is now, and can be.
