I think this film was, is great – there was enough ennui, and story. Why is the story uninteresting? I understand it’s more “exciting” to watch endless parade of models in fancy outfits, but this is a rise to fame story, this is about how she entered the fashion world. I was more interested in her struggles as a young woman with no place in society, fighting the odds. Anyway, we all know about the fantastic life of C.C. but this movie unveiled what happened before the magazine covers and worldwide craze, and Lagerfeld. And that’s what I wanted to see.
