As much as I might be a fan of daring cinema, I can’t abide the use of gratuitous sex scenes (and sometimes plain porn) on a film in such a tasteless, unforgiving way. In his search for a statement, the director found himself drowned both by an oversexed plot and his own desire to make it meaningful when it was not.
But don’t get me wrong, the film is not bad, and some shots manage to convey true, powerful drama and emotion, it’s just that those are exceptions in an otherwise forgettable piece.
