I actually loved this film, it’s a sci-fi like no other, since it portrays a very vivid depiction of a dystopic Detroit form the near future. The city itself is what caught my eye the most, since you can see its media, its cops, its criminals, its big bad corporative evil-doers. Robocop offers a very intersting vision of not only a city on the verge of implosion, but also of the effects of macroeconomy in society. The people with the big pockets control everything and intend to do so to get a profit. Also, the special effects are great and Peter Weller gives a great performance, showing us that the human spirit can survive anything.
