(Re)seeing with its special effects so naive to our eyes, Alice is a physical presence in a world which she doesn’t belong to: the effect puts her above the image, but not in, not yet integrated. It embodies in this sense a (new) presence-gaze of the viewer as demand, in a language newborn. Alice seeks attention and communication (emblematic the scene with Cheshire Cat) to find her place as identity-presence, which lies across a naive violation (toward Queen of Hearts). But here comes the awakening..
