Ebert summed it up best in his review of the film, when he said he walked out of a film after seeing The Grey because he found himself still thinking about it, and did not think he could be fair to the other film. This movie is short on dialogue, but the landscape makes up for it. Not necessarily a bleak movie, but you find yourselves very quickly in the shoes of the survivors. One cannot help but ask themselves how they would respond in this situation. I only hope that if, God forbid, I am ever in a plane crash, Liam Neeson is on board with me.
