The movie is just wrong! The book is focusing on Humberts deep feelings, moral strugle with his whishes and temptations… It’s a incredibly great study of good and evil/wrong and the human character. The movie is nothing like that. It’s light entertainment with no focus on before described issues at all and people’s actions are not supported with any characterization. Humbert is just a pervert, Lolita (who is made older than she should be) is completely consciously seducing him and both are just happy and without concern. Totally unrealistic and without depth. Almost like a stupid comedy.
